The smile on Holden's face disappeared as he watched Liam enter the kitchen. Was it time for him to come home already? He looked over his brother just happy that his brother didn't blurt out the word slayer. I mean was it really a surprise that he had a friend over? It wasn't normal at all but it would explain the extra car in the drive way. Holden watched his brother eying the two of them as he hopped off the counter and walked past his brother who happened to be giving him the stare down.
He rolled his eyes as Liam lectured him, still ticked that he was just called ho ho. He wasn't just upset about that, it was the late nights he was spending at work and all this slayer nonsense that was driving him insane. He was beginning to feel like it was his job too. He smirked as Ayden retorted and walked around the kitchen barely paying his brother attention.
"I'd introduce you but you've already met, Li-Li" he hissed at Liam as he grabbed the bottle of the counter and poured him a cup. He lifted the cup up to his lips, glaring at Liam as he took a sip.

Liam watched as Ayden’s eyes immediately dropped to the floor. Wow, what a difference from when he had last seen him. A ball full of attitude with a sarcastic smirk to top it all off. Now he seemed just a bit out of his element. It was rather strange seeing the boy in his kitchen with his little brother. He couldn’t imagine how weird it must have been for him as well. But it was apparently not weird enough because there he went again at the mouth. Throwing in his two cents. Liam smirked. ”Well, such a fine bloke you are coming by and putting a dent in my finest gin. Good to know my brother has such good friends like that.”
His brother hopped off the counter and walked past him. He could tell Holden was pissed which was fine. Holden could do whatever the hell he wanted, but not at such a pivotal time. The slayer should have been the only thing on Holden’s mind right now. The slayer and what needed to be done to find her. Or at least he should have known how important that was to his family back in England. He knew the importance of the situation. Instead he was….sneaking into Liam’s secret stash of liquor with someone that Liam didn’t particularly like, well or at least didn’t know enough to trust to even be in his house to begin with. How did they even know each other? Was this the friend that Holden was talking about in the cemetery? It was possible.
Liam watched Holden as he mentioned the fact that Ayden and him already knew each other. He smirked when Holden called him Li Li. Oh yes, he had struck some sort of nerve in the boy with his new comment. Score! But even though Holden probably knew that Liam was not at all okay with this situation, he still proceeded to pour himself a glass of the liquor and take a swig. Liam glared at Holden clenching his jaw. Why did he always have to take things one step further? ”I think you should say goodbye to your friend for the night.” Liam said sternly without taking his eyes off of his brother and his display of obvious distaste for him right now.
