”Back it up, back it up, you got it, you got it!” Her hips swayed back and forth as Arianna bounced around this way and that to the rhythm of the Gwen Stefani song that no one seemed to know that was playing from her stereo speakers. Of course she couldn’t hold a tune for the life of her, but that didn’t stop her from projecting her voice even out into the hallway of her new home here in Midnight Harbour. They had just moved in this morning, but Arianna was too excited to wait to unpack. This was her life now. And as much as the past year impacted Arianna in some of the worst ways possible, she had been trying to push it out of her head all day and think about this fresh start she was going to have. New friends, new extracurricular activities, new goals. The life of a normal girl. She smiled at the thought, but behind that smile was a bit of doubt that she didn’t even want to admit she was feeling.
She hadn’t even realized that she had gone quiet from all the thinking she was doing. Luckily she had noticed just in time for her favorite part of the song. She blew out of her mouth making her lips vibrate as she shook her head. Weird yes, but one of the tricks she always performed when she was trying to collect herself enough to move onto other things. In this case, the chorus of the song. Arianna grabbed a pile of her jeans and spun around plopping the jeans into the open drawer of her long dresser all the while belting out ”I’m here waiting, CRASH into me real hard.” Arianna wasn’t one to dwell on things. She tried to stay optimistic. Sometimes when she thought about the past year, it was hard to, but she tried. And singing along to Stefani while unpacking was the perfect remedy for helping her forget about witnessing her watcher die in front of her eyes while she stood back and did nothing….at least for a little while anyways.

This move wasn't just about a fresh start for Ariana, although that was her most important reason for the switch. The fresh start was also about her and new opportunities for a fresh start, one that she did believe she deserved after everything that has happened. She just wanted the best for her daughter, that was her main priority here in Midnight Harbour. She knew Ariana would fit in perfectly here and make a lot of friends, she was such a bright and beautiful girl, anyone who wasn't interested in friendship with her was missing out on a beautiful friend.
She was continuing to unpack, smiling softly as she could hear her daughter's singing echoing throughout the house. "Honey, we didn't buy the house with soundproof walls. Just giving you the heads up before you cause our neighbours to try and get us evicted already," she pitched throughout the house with Ariana sure to hear. She begun unpacking more of the crockery, cutlery and appliances in the kitchen and setting that up. After all, she had to cook somewhere and as much as Ariana might enjoy local take out eveyr night, she wasn't going to subject her daughter to that unhealthiness every day. Not even at school, she was packing lunch for her daughter, and whether her daughter decided to eat the lunch was up to her. The least she could do was make sure she at least eats breakfast before she goes.
She made her way up the stairs to Ariana's room, smiling as she leant against the frame around the door, watching her daughter enjoy herself. "Ariana, sorry to interrupt your party, but shouldn't you be out enjoying yourself? Maybe meet a few people before school? I think its about time this town met Ariana," she added with a soft smile as she continued to watch her daughter. Although she didn't want to see her venture out too much, she wanted to see her daughter with some friends, which she knew would make her happy.

Arianna smiled as she heard her mother’s voice from downstairs. She didn’t waste any time in listening to her. Making her way over to the stereo system, she turned down the music slightly. ”Roger that! I think we can agree though that this place needs a bit of GOOD music!” She yelled referring to her mother’s music choice. It wasn’t Gwen Stefani that was for sure. She spun back around to work on another box of clothing. Arianna wasn’t the type to rebel as a child and as she aged, that part of her never changed. Madison Sparks was the only person she was truly close to in her life, and it had always been that way. Why on earth would she have any reason to cause problems with her? Of course, her curiosity did get her into some trouble at times, but that wasn’t rebelling; that was just Arianna being Arianna. It had been a bit strange though in that last year before moving to Midnight Harbour. Ms. Sparks just had a way of knowing when something was wrong with her daughter, unfortunately for Arianna that was always something that was hard to hide. It was hard not to share what had happened to her. Many times she had wondered if telling her would be better than bottling everything up inside. But would her mom even believe her? Even as close as she was to her, vampires walking around eating people in real life wasn’t the most sane thing to bring up in conversation. ”Don’t forget to make a U turn. I see you left your blinker ooooonnnnn.” She sang to herself as she pulled her old high school hoodie out of the box.
She could hear her mom’s voice behind her and smiled at the suggestion. She slipped the hanger into the head of her hoodie and turned around moving towards her closet. ”That is a brilliant beyond brilliant idea! If it’s anything like Rucker High, I need to have a butt load of friends to even be considered as cheerleader material.” Arianna squeezed into her closet, hung up the hoodie and headed back over to the box. ”You’re totally right. Midnight Harbour is in dire need of some spunkiness. Not that we have been too many places around here, but just looking at all the townsfolk makes me squirm. They all seem so….boring. They need some Sparkage.” She put her hand to her mouth but couldn’t hold in the laugh. With a very strange combination of a snort and a giggle, her laugh exploded. ”Wow, I just made a joke. See? This place is already making me happier. Who knew I could be so funny?!” She shrugged glancing at her mom with a smile.
