This - was a good idea on theory. He could have been able to write it down and it would have looked great. Go home, take a break, be with your family and stuff. It was full proof. But pulling into this driveway he was really starting to feel the nerves. It wasn't fun. He could just tell what would be going on. Ayden would be home, and dad would - like always - be at work. It was amazing how all of this worked out, he just knew what would be happening. And facing Ayden, that was going to be intense. They never say anything, but there is a lot of baggage between them. They never really spoke after - after sis died. He shouldn't blame him so much, it wasn't deliberate. He blamed them, the vamps. The souless pieces of shit that did what they wanted, and didn't care for what would happen. Just blood - and to them, Shoshana was just 'some girl'. But she wasn't, she was extraordinary. As he slowed down to a halt, her turned off the ignition and pulled the handbreak. Hulk was sitting in the passenger seat, light brown hears sitting up on its head at alert as it looked up at the house with dark eyes. With his brown-tinted shades, Levi looked at his dog and grinned. Ruffling the top of his head hair up, she smirked. "Excited Hulkmyster? Yeah, me too". He said dryly as he tossed his cigarette bud out of the window and opened the door, Hulk immediately towering out of the car after Levi.
Hulk followed behind Levi, sniffing and snooping at things on the dirt ground as they got to the front steps. At least Hulk wasn't sniffing at his shoes or shirt anymore, which was just purely friggin' annoying. He kids, he loves Hulk. It's his best friend, so climbing the steps of the front porch he got to the door. He lifted his hand to knock, but stopped. Why did he hesitate? Grow some balls and knock Wolfe! Letting out a breath, he knocked on the door with three loud clacks. He stood there, patiently with his hands in his pockets as he kicked his feet up a bit, impatiently waiting for someone to answer the door. Patience and Levi, yeah - no. Then as he let out a breath, blowing a raspberry in the process his eyes peered over to Hulk. Hulk sat, looking at him and tilted his head in confusion a bit. Looking down at him, he smirked as he walked passed Hulk, scratching his head slightly. "Yeah, I know". What did he know? That this was his family and when in the nineteen years of his life had he ever knocked!?
Walking up to the door, he gripped hold of the door nob and twisted it. He was still a little bit twitchy, so he stuck his head inside of the door and peered out into the front room. Empty, no TV on. Was anyone even home? Opening the door fully, hearing the tapping of Hulk's footsteps as he scurried into the house to explore. Levi closed the door loudly, to try and get a reaction. Taking the shades off of his face, stuck them up on his head as he looked around for a second. "Hey, Ayden? Dad? It's Lee". Okay, this is shitty. No one is ever home. No welcoming commitee today. He reopened the front door. He should probably grab his bags. Or maybe check out the town and come back when the Wolfe's develop the ability to remember things.

He couldn't deny that he was just the little bit nervous. And when Ayden is nervous, something is seriously up! His brother, Levi, was coming to town to stay with them/live with them...He really wasn't sure what was happening. He didn't speak to Levi, he just recieved the information from his father, and boy was he suprised to hear that his big brother was coming. He didn't have anything about that, he was excited. Someone to keep him company when his father is at work or drinking. But, he was just nervous. The two weren't exactly what someone would call 'best buds' in the strictest sense. They got along fine, but since everything happened with Shoshana, they had been on rocky terms with eachother. He knew that Levi was angry at him about the slaying stuff, which he didn't have any control over by the way, but he did feel to blame for what happened and he let Levi have every right to be angry at him.
When he gets nervous, he turns to the one thing which makes him feel safe the most; slaying. He pulled out the trunk from under his bed, opening it up and rummaging through his things. Stakes? Check. Holywater? Half empty, but check. He would have to go to a bloody mass for once or something to refill. Crosses? Check. Crossbow? Yet to steal from Anastasia's color coded bag. Or to buy one himself, whichever came first. But as he begun sorting out the stuff he deemed long hidden, he heard the door knock. He paused, looking up as he listened, hearing Levi's voice. Shit, he was earlier than he expected. He looked at the clock. Nope, just Ayden getting sidetracked and losing track of his whereabouts. Some slayer he was, reflexes and all.
He quickly scrambled the stuff back into the trunk, and sliding it back underneath the bed. He jogged out, nearly falling down the stairs as he made his way down, seeing that Levi was already inside. He flashed an innocent, yet welcoming smile. "Hey. I'm here. Sorry, was...Working on assignments, you know." He retained the smile on his face as he looked over at him, wondering what to say or do next. "How have you been? Here, let me help you with the stuff, I'll give you a tour of this place. Your rooms in the garage, sorry bud." He smirked softly, teasing as the little Hulkster came running, and panting as he begun to pat him. At least he didn't change. [/size]

And this house isn't abandoned! He was about to step out but then tada - Ayden was here. Popping his head back in, he closed the door as he took a breath. Okay, it was time to see how this brother thing was going to play out right now. Like he said, there is a lot of water under the bridge between them, and by a lot, he mean like an ocean. After his exhale, her closed his eyes for a second. Time to play happy families again. He went for a while trying to not play out the lie that they are spiff and colored normal, but it wasn't. It never has been, but turning to him with his hands in his pockets he smiled up at Ayden. Okay, time to put issues asside. He had to admit, it was cool to see his little brother again. And could he be any more obvious. Homework assignments; he really doesn't remember Ayden ever doing homework. Girls and parties, yeah he definitely passed on that. But homework only meant one thing; his brother either has or was going to go on patrol. And instantly that hit a nerve with Lee. Looking at him, he smirked slightly as he looked at him. "How transparent do you think I am exactly? Dad might believe the homework cover, but - no". He said as he looked at his brother, moving closer. "It's good to see you cracker?". And like a brother bear, he gave his brother a big hug. Wow, it must have been years since they last did that. Parting, he looked at Axel and smiled warmly.
Well at least he wasn't being a jackass, was asking if he could help and what not. Classic Ayden; complete suck up. He smiled to his brother at his joke, smirking under his breath as he shook his head and opened the door. Thanks bud, but if I get put out in the garage, I will be keying the hood of your ute every night before bed. Maybe paint it pink for our little princess?". He said, swinging his arm around Ayden's neck as he dragged him out the front door. Hulk seemed to like it because the old lab was bouncing up and down as if the bell just rang for 'play time'. Going out the front, he felt someone on Ayden's back. What the? Frowning slightly, he lifted his shirt a bit and pulled out - a stake! He had his mind thinking it was something different that was long and hard and would make Lee pass out. Looking at it, he smirked. It wasn't anything special, looked like a chair leg. "I might hold onto this one for you buddy, don't want you to get a splinter. So... have you been 'patrolling' in Midnight Harbor. Have you been safe?". He asked, finding the topic a little bit awkward. For shit's sake he hoped he had been safe with all of this, especially after - Shoshana.
Popping the trunk of his truck, he pulled it up showing four suitcases. Clothes, shoes, school work and basically everything he owned in his dorm was in the back of his trunk, including Hulkmysters junk. Grabbing one of the bags, he gave it to Ayden. "Hmm, with slayer strength and all. I could just pile you up like a pack mule and send you on your way, huh?". He smirked and grabbed another bag, giving it to his brothers as Lee pulled out two for himself, putting one on the ground to shut the boot and then started moving back towards the door. It was official now, he was moving back home. Whether that was a good thing is to be determined, but it was interesting what this town was going to throw there way, and what kind of bullshit that Ayden was going to get himself into, and the lengths that Lee was going to have to go too to protect his brother.

Okay, maybe it was a bad cover. He should've known better to not use that one on Levi of all people, but he was caught off guard and had to think of something; regardless of how un-Ayden it actually was. He smiled softly, wishing he had of thought of another excuse. "So used to living with just dad, the assignments excuse always comes in handy." He flashed a grin which usually got him out of trouble. It was good to have Levi here, but now he would have to sneak out with two watch dogs around, which could make things more difficult. He knew Levi didn't understand why he was slaying and all that, but he did and that was all that mattered really. He couldn't blame Levi for not understanding, unless you actually feel being a slayer and knowing the consequences of that, you won't be able to truly grasp the concept.
He embraced the hug with Levi, realizing how long it had really been since they had just stood there and hugged. It was good to hug his brother, it made things seem like they weren't as bad as they were, even just for a little while. Then he called him that awful nickname and he raised an eyebrow, smirking softly. "Cracker? You're still going to call me that, huh?" How Levi even came up with that nickname for him, he really wasn't sure anymore. All he knew was that he hated it, and the reason Levi continually did it was probably because of that reason. "You wouldn't do that. Your all talk, anyway. And I was actually considering the pink color change anyway, just to be more like my brother." He smirked softly, teasing.
But as his brother dragged him out to the car, his brother soon noticed the stake hidden in the back of his shirt. Dammit, this guy was good. He didn't seem to mind too much, but of course he would play the big brother and be all concerned and stuff. He didn't really want to talk about this stuff with Levi, it was awkward. It was basically like when your father asks if you wore protection when you have sex, just something you don't want to hear. "Shesh Levi, relax. I know how to look after myself yeah. Hence backup stake in back of shirt, which you have now conveniently taken away from me." It was alright, he had a whole chest full of them anyway. He shrugged, going over to help Levi carry his...Four suitcases inside? Jeez, how much shit did he have? "Yeah, your definantly in the garage. There is no way in hell all this shit will fit in one room. How much shit do you have many?" He asked, turning to the man as he made a funny remark about making him carry all the suitcases in. "Or, I can just use all this slayer strength to throw one in the dumpster." He smirked softly, taking two of the suitcases and beginning to walk them inside.

The story of cracker; what a fun story it was. It was namely Levi's fault but he pretended it was just her. Her name was Jay-May (he should have already been able to tell what would come from a girl with that name). Anyway, when Levi took her home he thought she was drunk, and she kept screaming at Ayden calling him 'cracker'. Levi was pissing himself laughing because he had no idea what this chick was on about. She said it was because Ayden look like her friend ellegedly nicknamed 'cracker'. Turns out she was a drug dealer and callking her friend cracker was for that reason, he was a crack head. Levi once again pissed himself again, but never told Ayden - but just kept calling him cracker. Good memories! "Yeah, yeah I really do have to keep calling you that". He smirked to himself as they continued out to the car. What kind of brother would he be if he didn't nickname his brother permanently after a local stoner in Miami! After his little self-smirk session he looked to the kid as he tried one of his many lame comebacks. "Fine, whatevs. Real men deal with pink dude, pink is the color of masculinity - hidden masculinity". He shrugged. Okay, that was lame too. Looking towards the car, he made his way and then say Hulk trudge behind the house. Hopefully he would find something of his fathers and secretly rip the absolute shit out of it. Here's hoping!
Holding the stake in his hand, he wasn't about the give it back. Not that he was going to make his brother beg or something like that, he just didn't - he thought maybe if he didn't give it back them somehow he wouldn't go patrol. He knew he would, and if shit came to blows Levi knew sadly that Ayden would woop his ass. He just hated the idea of going out and trolling the cemeteries for something undead to get rid of. Putting yourself in the line of fire if you don't have to. "Yeah I know I did, but I'm going to need it". Pulling the hood up, he smirked as he grabbed a handle of a bag. "Because I am coming out with you tonight". The expression on Ayden's face would have been amazing if Levi didn't turn from it. Hey, how was he going to understand Ayden's world if he didn't get involved. You know, maybe he could help. He was awesome at darts at the local pub and a crossbow didn't look to hard to use, like playing lethal laser tag. Just not as much fun and Levi might die. Well, not with his superpowered little brother there anyways.
"Throw one in the dumpster all you like, I'll get it out. I'm still going out patrolling with you tonight. How else am I supposed to get involved in my little brother's Texas Chainsaw life if I don't get involved. I'll have a crossbow and enough hollywater to drown the devil, it'll be cool". It won't. Levi was probably being the shittest person in the world because he was putting a major dampener on one of his brother's biggest hobbies - killing things. But it was good for Levi. Maybe if he had a good taste himself of what his brother is into he won't feel so uneasy about the whole thing. Well he would but he wouldn't freak out everynight. But really, he just hoped this idea didn't just instigate another one of the Wolfe sibling fights. Opening the front door, he put his bags inside the door and walked in, letting out a breath as he spun on his heals to face his brother and see what his reaction would be. But would it be good? How about we see.

He shook his head, brushing off Levi's smartass comments about the nickname. He wished Levi would give him the full explanation of why he was referring to him as 'Cracker.' He just explained to him that it was some drunk girl and he adopted it from that, but it made no sense that he would keep it up this long just for shit and giggles. He would probably never find out those answers, he could only keep trying to break the shell of Levi to find out. "Yeah, you really don't," he replied back with a smirk plastered on his face. Even though his brother could annoy the hell out of him, he always knew how to keep Ayden amused and put a smile on his face. That was what big brothers were for, he supposed. And what were little brothers like Ayden for? That was easy, to give their big brother hell and annoy the hell out of them as much as possible, something Ayden prided himself on doing quite well.
"Keep telling yourself that bro," he added with a smirk, but Levi's next comment took him completely off guard as Levi turned away from him. Did Levi just state that he was coming patrolling with Ayden tonight? Was this guy nuts? His face stood there, motionless with shock for a moment as he stared on at Levi, processing things in his head. "No you're not!" He raised his voice briefly, before realizing that he was just telling his older brother what to do, which was pretty uncommon for him and he realized Levi probably wouldn't take it well. He paused for a second. "This is my game, I'm the slayer. Its my burden, not yours and not anyone else. Its bad enough looking out for myself out there, let alone having to be extra focused and look out for you as well. You have no idea of the danger you would be putting both of us in. I'm not going to lose anyone else because of this." There, he said it. Memories of Shoshana were popping up in his mind, how she got killed because of this. He looked down at the ground, a slight tear welting up in his eye. He then looked back up at Levi softly. They never really spoke of any of this. "She was a slayer, and things happen. You aren't, so there are even more risks."
He felt like his brother wasn't or wouldn't understand it. He just wanted to go in headstrong and protect his brother, which Ayden knew he inherited the trait from him, but he wasn't taking into consideration how dangerous it really was. He put his hands in his pockets, looking on at Levi. "And whats your plan? So you're good with a crossbow. How good are you when a vampire pops out of nowhere?" He then moved foward, gripping Levi by the shoulders, not intending to hurt him, but being a little more forceful. "What about like this? The crossbow isn't going to cut it, and neither is a bottle or even a gun full of holy water. I walk into tests without doing crap, but this, this is entirely different." He moved away from his brother, placing his hands behind his head now, turning back to face Levi. "I'm sorry, I just love you too much to see anything happen to you." Woah, he actually told his brother he loved him. That was unexpected, even for him. But he was speaking from his heart.

And here the fireworks come! This is just terrific, but he had it coming. Prying into Ayden's little life of crime-fighting wrecklessness seemed to be a touchy subject. When he rose his voice, Levi just kept moving. Telling his big brother what to do, this was definitely not something that Ayden even wanted to talk about. Therefore, here came the argument. To Levi it seemed like a valid plan. Ayden was too stubborn to see it, to see that Levi didn't trust what he did or how he went about doing it. This whole solo thing, no back up and no one there when things get tough. What is he going to do then? These thoughts have gone through Levi's mind you months now, wondering what if a pack of werewolves circle him or he gets jumped by a cemetery full of vamps at once. Just one night, one time where Levi could see everything first hand - maybe gain some perspective that Levi can handle this. But apart of him actually doubted that Ayden could handle anything that came his way. So seeing him come it, Levi faced him with crossed arms.
Ayden started, and Levi just look at him. He was fumed by the sheer thought of what Levi was suggesting, and Levi looked at him in the eye. A game? A fucking game? But when Ayden finished, Levi's eye's widdened slightly at bringing up Shoshana. That was his example! Levi's heart heated, looking at his brother he stepped forwards and raised his voice. "And you think, what - doing the loner thing is going to fix things. There were two of you and they still took her from us! I can't see how cutting yourself off from everyone involving that life so that it is just you and evil is going to make things better. That's shit, and you know it. You know as well as I do that the only reason you are a slayer is because the one before you died, because this whole Chosen One destiny crap is shit. Fight alone die alone right, is that how you want to be?". He asked, hearing Hulk bark slightly as he sat and looked up at them. Levi's eyes glanced over at the dog, then quickly shooting his glance back at Ayden.
When Ayden asked him that question, his mouth opened - but nothing came out. He - he didn't know. He looked at Ayden frustrated, but he didn't know. He had no skills. Nothing freaky or supernatural, he was just a regular guy. He had nothing. When Ayden gripped his shoulders and spoke even more forcefully to him. Levi then realized it, something that he had been denying for a long while. He always thought that somehow he would be able to protect Ayden. But there is nothing that Levi can do for him, because you can help those who don't want to be helped. Ayden let go, and silently Levi looked down to the ground. "Well I guess you don't need me, at all right? I'm sorry I came cracker, I shouldn't have left Miami". Walking passed Ayden aggressively, he looked to Hulk. "Come on Hulk, now!". Levi opened the as the panting dog ran out of the door and he slammed it behind him. Wonder if this town has a local pub he could stay for a while? He had never felt so useless to his family, and to himself, in his whole life. If he was so pathetic, then why did he keep trying to make such a fucking effort. It's true, coming to Midnight Harbor was possibly the biggest mistake he had ever made in his life.

He didn't want to argue with his brother, he really didn't. He was hoping that by Levi coming here, they could start things on a fresh note and be cool and all buddies and whatever normal brothers do. It was starting off well, but then the supernatural subject was brought up, and everything changed. It was so hard when two different worlds were colliding. He didn't know what to do, he wanted to keep fighting back against his brother because it was part of who he was, but then he wanted to back down and just let his brother cool off. It was so difficult! He just wished his brother would see where he was coming from. But ironically, he was failing to see exactly where Levi was coming from, wanting to protect him. If Ayden was in Levi's situation, he would probably want to do the same thing Levi is doing. After all, they were so alike in many ways, that was why they collided so much.
He looked down at the floor, not really sure what to say back to his brother. "Look, I don't control this destiny thing, who dies, who gets called, its just how it is. I tried doing things your way and sitting in the sidelines while people were out there getting slaughtered, but then I came here and it all found a way of coming onto me. I believe we shape our own destinies man, but when something like this happens, how can you control that? Whoever gave me these powers gave me them for a reason. Not to eat doughnuts on the side. You don't think I wish I could be that person eating doughnuts and doing all these normal things? Sure, bad example as I can do that, but the point being that this destiny strips that all away whenever it feels the need to."
Then his brother begun calling it quits and walking away. Okay, he hadn't expected that, and he felt extremely guilty. He couldn't just let him walk away because of a stupid argument. These things did have to be said, but he knew if Levi just walked away now nothing would be fixed. "Come on! I do need you, I need you to call me annoying nicknames which make me want to punch you in the face, pick on me, be my brother. But I don't need you to be a memory. If you are so intent on coming out with me tonight, then fine, I'll take you, if it really means that much that you want to come. I can tell you now, its not all its cut out to be." He then turned, walking back into the house. He enjoyed slaying, it was apart of him, but bringing Levi into this was a whole new dimension he wasn't sure he was ready for. He would soon find out.

He heard him calling out to him. Levi felt like Ayden had driven him down lower then low. College? Work? Levi was barely coping with any of that and Ayden had super powers. Ayden have just paved a way to turn Levi into the most useless piece of shit in the world right now, and when he heard him Levi just felt like he had to get away, to be away. "I'm going to do what you want bro. I'll stay away from all that, isn't really my thing anyway". He tried to smirk when he said it, trying to smile but the pain on his face was still there as Levi moved towards his truck. "I won't be a memory anymore man, don't worry about that. Your wrong about something, you don't need me. What could the high and mightly slayer need from a regular Joe? I get it, don't worry. I'm cool with that. You are right about one thing though, it's your life. Just now, you can live it without me in the mix". Looking at the ground slightly, he opened the truck door and let Hulk in quickly as he slammed the door, and sped off as quick as he could. Big, big mistake to come here.
